November 16 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
The Learning Lab at Rolfe, 2118 Rolfe Hall
Los Angeles, CA 90095
Hosted in conjunction with UCLA’s Humanities Technology office, this one-day mini-conference will explore how literacy practices intersect with language education. Key themes include digital literacies, multimodal communication, and the role of cultural and social contexts in language learning.
Our final agenda is now available!
We are seeking presenters to share research, strategies, and practical approaches to foster multi-literacy development in language learners. Each presenter will have 15 minutes, with time left over for questions and discussion. Presenters will be grouped into blocks of three (group registration is encouraged) and should be made in English. To present, please register here.
Participants will engage in discussions designed to enhance teaching methodologies in today’s language classroom.
This in-person event is free to attend (no remote option will be available). Lunch is not included, however, there are options available on campus, or attendees are encouraged to bring their own and enjoy the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden.
For parking options, please see UCLA Visitor Parking.
